Introducing Alicia, a seasoned registered nurse with 18 years of invaluable experience, including over a decade in clinical leadership positions. Alicia's journey into healthcare leadership was marked by challenges and self-discovery. Transitioning from a clinical role to a leadership position, she faced unfamiliar platforms and processes, grappling with imposter syndrome along the way. Determined to excel, Alicia pursued higher education and immersed herself in learning opportunities, overcoming obstacles with persistence and grace. Through her experience leading nurse teams, Alicia recognized the need for practical skills and support in navigating the business side of healthcare. Armed with dual Master's degrees—one in Executive Nurse Leadership and another in Business Administration with a Healthcare Focus—Alicia is driven by a fervent desire to shake up the existing healthcare paradigm. Her passion lies in empowering female leaders and nurses to make a lasting impact on the industry. Drawing from her own journey, Alicia joins forces with Mandi to empower nurses to explore new opportunities and thrive in leadership roles.

Meet Mandi: a compassionate, dynamic, and resourceful healthcare professional boasting over 25 years of industry expertise. Mandi's career began at the bedside as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, where she dedicated over 15 years to caring for patients. However, she felt a calling for more, recognizing the need for change in healthcare and the untapped potential of nurse leaders. Through various roles, including Director of Operations and Vice President of Clinical Care, Mandi navigated the challenges of leadership, learning from mentors and embracing failures as opportunities for growth. Her vision for NexGen Nurse stems from a deep belief in the capabilities of nurses and the urgent need for their voices to shape the future of healthcare. With NexGen Nurse, Mandi aims to equip nurses with the skills and confidence they need to thrive as leaders, bridging the gap between bedside care and effective leadership. She firmly believes that nurse leaders hold the key to driving essential change within the medical field.
